Description

Region 7, Public Building Service within the General Services Administration intends to conduct a streamlined competition study of its mechanical maintenance services performed at the Fort Worth Federal Center in Fort Worth, Texas and Muskogee Federal Building and Courthouse in Muskogee, OK. The streamlined study will be conducted in accordance with the instructions set forth in OMB Circular A-76 (Rev. 5/29/03). Maintenance services at these locations are currently performed by 10 employees, 9 FTE in Fort Worth, Texas and 1 FTE in Muskogee, OK. The employees in Fort Worth, Texas are supported by 2 contractor support personnel whose duties have been included in the study. Maintenance services performed at these locations include heating, ventilating and air conditioning; low voltage electrical; plumbing; with incidental carpentry and painting; lock and key; and minor road and grounds services. The designated Competitive Sourcing Official for this activity is Susan G. Marshall, GSA, CSO, the contracting officer Judi Grossman, and the Agency Tender Official is James S. Weller, Assistant Regional Administrator . The start date for this study is June 1, 2004 with a completion date August 31, 2004. THIS IS NOT A SOLICIATION. NO SOLICITATION SHOULD BE ANTICIPATED, AND PROPOSALS ARE THEREFORE NOT REQUESTED. Prospective offerors are advised that a solicitation will not be issued if the cost of contract performance is determined to be greater than the cost of in-house performance by Government personnel.
