Description
The South Texas Veterans Health Care System, Audie L. Murphy Division intends to negotiate a sole source firm fixed price requirements contract with Medtronic Cardio Pulmonary, to provide custom perfusion tubing packs with BP-80 Blood Pump. This requirement is unique, requiring compatibility of government owned property heart-lung machine that have the Bio-Medicus drive module to operate and accommodate only the BP-80 Blood Pump. The Bio-Medicus blood pump is owned by Medtronic and meets our specifications. Medtronic will assemble and sterilize the perfusion tubing and blood pump, the end product will be a sterilized package. Contract will be for base year with (4) twelve month options for renewal. This procurement is being conducted in conjunction with Federal Acquisition Regulation subpart 13.501 (a) (2) (I), test program, using simplified acquisition procedures and Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 339912. Size standard 500 employees. Interested persons may identify interest and ability to respond to this requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements must give written notification to the Contracting Officer within ten days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting documentation must be furnished in to provide evidence of ability to comply with the above custom perfusion tubing packs in accordance with specifications required for compatibility of government owned blood pumps. Determination based upon responses to this notice is within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no responses are received South Texas Veterans Health Care System, will proceed with the contract award.
