Offers/proposals are being solicited for fixed price type contract whereas some elements of work are firm-fixed-price and one element of work is an indefinite delivery and indefinite quantity item at a fixed unit price. The work consists of Base Contract Work which is the clearance of all landmines and unexploded ordnance (UXO) within the North and South Romaila Oil Fields of Iraq which is estimated to be 1,283 sq. kilometers with a combined perimeter of approximately 204 kilometers. Contractor shall possess a National Mine Action Standards accreditation and licensing for its operations in Iraq; and shall provide all labor, supervision, management, tools, equipment, facilities, transportation, security, and any and all other resources necessary and required to perform this work in strict accordance with the contract documents. Contractor shall be completely self sufficient, nothing will be provided to contractor. In addition, and as strictly an option item of work is the clearance of all mines and UXO from the West Qurna Oil Field that is approximately 16 kilometers wide, 22 kilometers long, or approximately 352 square kilometers. The Request for Proposal has been issued June 10, 2004, and the closing date and time for receipt of offers is not later than 10:00 a.m. prevailing local time in Baghdad, Iraq. Proposals are be in accordance with the solicitation document which can be obtained by emailing Mike James at mike.james@cpa-iq.org.
