Description

The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Midwest Area, has the requirement for Laboratory Chemicals to be delivered on an as needed basis to the National Center for Agricultural Utilization Research (NCAUR), Peoria, IL for the period (anticipated) August 1, 2004 through July 31, 2005 with four (4) one-year renewable option periods. Delivery of approximately 61 chemicals to the NCAUR Storeroom on an as needed basis. NCAUR Storeroom personnel will place orders each week for the needed chemicals in the grade, sizes, and quantities needed to be delivered within seven (7) calendar days after receipt of the order. Payment will be made to the successful contractor on a monthly basis, in arrears, based on orders placed and chemicals received during the preceding month. This solicitation will be issued as a Commercial Items Request for Proposals in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 15. This acquisition is solicited under Full and Open Competition. Any responsible business may submit a proposal. In compliance with FAR 52.204-7, Central Contractor Registration, all offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database in order to receive an award. The website address for registration is: http://www.ccr.gov. The NAICS that apply are 325188 and 325199. Solicitation No. 5114-4-1000 will be made available on or about June 18, 2004 with proposals to be received not later than 2:00 p.m. (CST) on July 10, 2004. Proposals will be evaluated based on price, past performance, and demonstration of having the technical ability to deliver the ordered chemicals on an as needed basis in the grade, quantity, and size required.
