Description

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 335312. The Grand Coulee Power Office, located in Grant County, Washington, approximately 90 miles west of Spokane, Washington, has a requirement to furnish and factory test one complete stator core and one complete armature winding for an existing vertical-shaft, water wheel driven, 3-phase, 60 Hertz, synchronous generator, rated at 125,000 kilovolt-amperes, 1.0 power factor, 13,800 volts, and 120-revolutions-per-minute, at Grand Coulee Left or Right Powerhouse. The core and winding will be stored as a spare, with installation expected to be needed in the future. The solicitation will be issued as a requirements-type contract for supplying and installing the equipment described above, in addition to filling our future stator core and armature winding requirements for the 5 year period following contract award. Award will be based on the best value to the Government and evaluation criteria will include technical factors (i.e. proposed equipment/installation plan) past performance, experience, price and price-related factors, and small disadvantaged business participation. The criteria will be further defined in the solicitation. This requirement is not set-aside. The solicitation will be available on CD-ROM in Adobe Acrobat format and will be available on or about July 1, 2004 (this is an estimated date). To obtain a copy of the CD and be included on the planholder list, interested bidders must register on our website at www.usbr.gov/pn/contracts/supply. Visit the website to obtain further instructions about registering. If you don't provide your DUNS (Data Universal Numbering System) and TIN (Taxpayer Identification Number) on the electronic registration form, we will not send the solicitation to you. Telephone requests for the solicitation won't be accepted. There is no charge for the first copy of the CD and a charge of $15 for each additional copy requested. We reserve the right to issue the solicitation on paper if it becomes necessary. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which we will consider. See numbered notes 12 and 26.
