Description
The USDA Forest Service intends to procure Architect and Engineering (A&E) services for professional land surveying consisting of: Slaughter Gulch Mineral Patents ? Corner verification and dependent resurvey of 12 patented load claims in the Slaughter gulch drainage at Warren, Idaho. Approximately 37 corner monuments to verify and rehabilitate and 4.5 miles of National Forest property boundary to mark and post. Warren Townsite ? Dependent resurvey of the 1986 BLM survey of the NW1/4 Section 12, encompassing the Warren Townsite. Approximately 6 Townsite corner monuments to rehabilitate and 2.0 miles of property boundary to mark and post. The project is located in T.22N., R.6E., Sections 1, 11 and 12, at the townsite of Warren, Idaho, approximately 35 miles northeasterly of McCall, Idaho. Responses to this announcement received by July 16, 2004 will be considered for selection. Architect/Engineer firms which meet the requirements described in this announcement are invited to submit SF-330. Selection Criteria: firms responding will be evaluated on the following selection criteria: 1. Professional qualifications necessary for satisfactory performance of required services; 2. Specialized experience and technical competence in the type of work required; 3. Experience and qualifications of proposed key personnel and the amount of time the Registered Professional will spend in the field on this project; 4. Capacity to accomplish the work in the required time; 5. Past performance on contracts with Government agencies and private industry in terms of cost control, quality of work, and compliance with performance schedules; 6. Location in the general geographic area of the project and knowledge of the locality of the project ? restricted to firms holding an Idaho Professional Land Surveying license; 7. Surveying methodology and instrumentation proposed for use on this project; 8. Quality control methods, review, and accuracy checks to be used; 9. Acceptability under the following criteria (provide with SF-330): a. The name and specific qualifications and credentials of the person who will be assigned to supervise this project; b. A copy of that person?s most recent filed Idaho Record of Survey Plan and Corner Perpetuation Form, which is representative of survey work comparable to this project. The contract for Architectural and Engineering Services will be negotiated. Estimated price range is less than $100,000. Estimated start date is 8/01/04 with 120 calendar days for completion.
