- Description
- This request for information is for space qualified, 3-axis, single fault tolerant Inertial Reference Unit/System for a Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) payload, the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO). The Statement of Work (SOW), Specifications (SPEC), and Deliverable Items List (DLI) follow as seperate documents. This notice is issued by the NASA/GSFC to post a Request for Informaiton (RFI) via the internet, and solicit responses from interested parties. This document is for information and planning purposes and to allow industry the opportunity to verify reasonableness and feasibility of the requirement, as well as promote competition. Prospective offerors are invited to submit written comments or questions to: MARY KISS, mary.kiss-1@nasa.gov no later than 10:00 am, 30 June 2004. When responding reference RFI number NNG04058290L, SDO/IRU. This RFI is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information submitted in response. Respondents will not be notified of the results. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". The RFI and any documents related to this request will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/GSFC Business Opportunities home page is http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=51 No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the soliciation if a soliciation is released it will be synopsized in FedBizOpps and on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet cite for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments, if any. Interested offerors/vendors having the required specialized capabilities to meet or exceed the requirement should submit 2 hardcopies of your capability statement of 15 pages or less indicating the ability to perform all aspects of the effort described herein. One electronic copy is also required via e-mail to mary.kiss-1@nasa.gov. In addition, interested offerors/vendors may provide any relevant catalogs or other published product literature that may be generally available in hard copy form or on-line. There is no page limit for this information. Interested offerors with solutions that do not meet all specification are encouraged to respond and note exceptions. This is especially true of existing designs wherein if requirements are relieved, there are substatnital savings. Responses must include the following: name and address of firm, size of business; average annual revenue for the past 3 years and number of employees; ownership; whether they are large, small, small disadvantaged, 8(a), HUBZone, Veteran, Service Disabled Veteran, and/or Woman Owned; number of years in business; list of customers covering the past five years (highlight relevant work performed).
