Description

The Centralized Acquisition Service, VISN 6, Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking sources for the following equipment for delivery to the VA Medical Center in Asheville, NC: A combination laser system for treatment of Glaucoma, Cataract, and Diabetic Retinopathy patients. This system must utilize a single laser and operate in both the SLT and YAG modes. Interested parties must submit product data in writing to Jeff Benton, Contracting Officer, VA Medical Center, 2300 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301 not later than 4:30pm local time July 7, 2004. Responses received will be evaluated, however, a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This requirement is for the purchase, installation, training and maintenance support of a combination laser system. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with a sole source negotiation with Lumenis, Inc., the only known source for this system.
