- Air transportation services utilizing contractor-furnished, IFR-equipped, twin engines, pressurized aircraft for the movement of a minimum of six passengers to within a 525 mile radius of Ft Campbell KY (Outlaw Field) or Ft Benning GA (Columbus Metro GA) and return. A flight meter will be used to record flight time. Two aircraft are required to perform this contract: (1) SCHEDULED AIRCRAFT. Flights will normally be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. (2) DEDICATED AIRCRAFT. The contractor will be on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The contractor must arrive at Ft Campbell or Ft Benning within 1.7 hours of telephonic notification and arrive at destination less than 4 hours from original phone call. Examples of destinations are Ft Campbell KY, Ft Benning GA, Pope AFB NC, and Simmons Army Air Field, NC. The period of performance is from 1 Oct 04 thru 30 Sep 05, with four option years. Solicitation closing date will be on or about 26 Jul 04. Offers will not be considered unless the offeror is an air taxi carrier within the meaning of the Federal Aviation Act of 1958 as amended. To be awarded a contract under this solicitation, prospective offerors must satisfy all DOD commercial air carrier quality and safety requirements as described in 32 CFR, Part 861.3 and the Additional Standards for DOD Contract Aircraft Operations under FAR Part 135. These requirements exceed the FAA Part 135 standards in several areas. For additional information concerning the additional standards, contact HQ AMC/A34B at (618) 229-4801.
