Description

Construct six ditch fills, two steel sheet pile structures with catwalks, five islands, two embankments, one drainage ditch, fill 9 steel box sumps, remove 4 steel box sumps, and search for and disable drainage tile as shown on the plans and specifications for the purpose of restoring and enhancing habitat of a Wetland Restoration Program site in Jefferson County. The quantities of work will involve approximately 61,750 cuyds ditch fill, 3150 sqft steel sheet pile, 300 cuyds rock riprap, 407 sqyds geotextile, 15,200 cuyds excavation for drainage ditch, 21,780 cuyds fill for islands, 18,700 cuyds stripping, 126,430 cuyds fill for embankments, 43550 ft tile search and disable, 9 sumps filled, and 4 sumps removed. Range of cost is $500,000 to $1,000,000. Performance time, including mobilization and 10 days for inclement weather is 75 work days assuming 10 hr work days, 5 day work weeks, and 6 pieces of heavy equipment. Earthwork shall be completed by Oct 30th, 2004. Interested parties are invited to attend a site showing on Thursday, May 27, 2004. The site showing will begin at 10AM in the conference room, UW-Extension, 864 Collins Road, Jefferson, WI. For directions, call that location at 920-674-7295. After a brief meeting concerning the bidding process and contract requirements, the group will leave for a tour of the work site. All information required to submit a proposal for this project will be posted on www.fedbizopps.gov.
