Description
Sole Source. The United States Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), AZ, intends to negotiate a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis with Herley Industries Inc., 3061 Industry Drive, Lancaster PA 17603. This contract will be for the followi ng item pertaining to Flight Termination System (FTS) for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV). Line Item 0001, 1 Each, Flight Termination System consisting of the following. Flight Termination Transmitter, 15 Watt, 4 Tone, Non Redundant Model TM-002B-R-15. Flig ht Termination Receiver, Model HFTR60-1. Transmitter transit case. Antenna for transmitter. The FTS configuration requirement is for compatibility with UAVs that are used for test projects that are conducted by this activity. The above FTS meets RCC-319 s tandards and is compatible with existing receivers. The following FTS specifications apply. Covers full 406 to 450 MHz band. 3 or 4 tone decoders. All solid state design. High sensitivity receiver. Small size, less than 3.7 cubic inches. Lightweight, less than 5 ounces. Over 2 amp DC, 7.5 amp pulsed output current capability. No RF IF tuning elements. Reverse polarity power protection. Standard range safety logic. Input voltage plus 22 to plus 36 VDC. Standard operating temperatures minus 54 degrees C to pl us 85 degrees C. LOS range 150 miles. Portable system consisting of a transmitter, receiver, antenna, and case. This is a commercial off the shelf item that is compatible with form, fit, and function to meet FTS configuration requirements for test projects at USAYPG. Award of this requirement will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. If you feel that your firm possesses the ability to provide this product, then you must respond by 6 July, Noon MST. Email your response to Michael.McDaniel@yuma.army.mil The response must clearly demonstrate that your firm possesses the experience and capability to provide the required equipment and historical experience. There are no substitutions for meeting requirements of the above listed item and all specifications must be met. See No te 22 (45 days is changed to 8 days).
