Description
The US Army Research Development and Engineering Command (USA RDEC), Natick Contract Division, in support of the U.S. Army Soldier and Biological Chemical Command, Soldier System Center (USA SBCCOM, SSC), intends to conduct negotiations and award a p urchase order to a small business, Bradford Dyeing Association, Inc., on the basis of other than full and open competition in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation part 6.302-1. This acquisition is involves the research and development of experim ental camouflage patterns and colors and will include the printing of approximately 300 linear yards of each fabric. The fabric will have a width of sixty-inches and there will be up to five different experimental camouflage patterns in a maximum of four to six colors. These experimental camouflage patterns and colors will be printed on 50/50 nylon/cotton twill as well as 750/1000 textured nylon duck fabric. This acquisition is for research and development purposes. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS. However, the Government will consider all quotations received within ten (10) days after date of publication of this announcement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses is solely within the di scretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement to the U. S. Army Research Development and Engineering Command, Natick Contracting Division, ATTN: AMSRD-ACC-NS/Peggy Dube, Natick, MA 01760-5011 no later than 5:00 p.m. EST on 10 August 2004.
