Description

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to issue a solicitation for Security Systems Services for its Western Currency Facility (WCF) located in Ft. Worth Texas. The plant is a high security facility requiring the effective and economical operation and maintenance of the integrated security system, the perfecting maintenance or re-engineering to increase efficiency and/or reduce operating costs, and the quick repair of the system or any of its components in the event of a system failure due to a disaster or emergency condition. The BEP anticipates issuing the subject solicitation by October 13, 2004, for a Firm Fixed-Priced type contract that will include time and materials line items. The period of performance will include a one year base from the date of contract award, with four one year options. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the Federal Business Opportunities Website at www.eps.gov. Interested sources may submit a written request, including an email address, to be placed on the mailing list so they can be notified when the solicitation has been released. All responsible sources may submit an offer upon receipt of the solicitation, which, shall be considered by the Agency.
