Description
The Southeast Facilities Service Office, U. S. Postal Service, is preparing to advertise for proposals for work at the following postal-owned facility: TAMPA, FL ? GMF- REROOFING AND WATERPROOFING Solicitation No: 123125-04-A-0461 Location of Facility: 5201 W. Spruce Street, Tampa, FL Construction Features: This solicitation invites proposals for the removal/replacement of approx. 207,000 SF roof. Contractor MUST be an approved installer and be able to produce qualification letter from manufacturer indicating 20 yr, no NDL warranty. Contractor will also be evaluated on references for roofing experience of at least 150,000 SF/bldg. projects. Work includes, but is not limited to replacing with cold process APP/SBS modified bituminous membrane, asbestos abatement, painting, waterproofing, caulking and masonry repair. Reference is made to Clause B-38, Accident Prevention. All construction work on projects must be performed in compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) of 1970. If the U. S. Postal Service is fined for OSHA violations caused by the contractor, the contractor shall pay the fine or reimburse the U. S. Postal Service for the amount of the fine. Small, minority-owned, and women-owned subcontracting participation is encouraged. The USPS subcontracting goals for this contract are minimums of 40% for small businesses (less than 500 employees), 10% for minority-owned businesses, and 7% for women-owned businesses in accordance with solicitation Section H.20. Proposal/Bid Bonds are not required, but letters from your Bank & Bonding company ARE part of your evaluation and required with proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds (100%) will be required from the successful offeror within 10 days of Notice of Intent to Award. The Postal Service intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose proposal conforming to the solicitation offers the best value to the Postal Service, considering price, price-related factors and other evaluation factors specified elsewhere in the solicitation. ****A Preproposal Conference is planned for August 18, 2004 at 9:00 a.m. at the site.
