Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source purchase order firm-fixed price type for reagents to Perkin Elmer Life and Analytical Sciences 710 Bridegeport Avenue Shelton, CT 06484-4797. These LRN TRF reagents contain highly specific antibodies that have been optimized for the detection of unique bacterial, viral or toxin agents. The vendor Perkin Elmer that supplies the TRF antibodies and labeling of those antibodies has been identified as the only one that has the labeling capability utilizing a unique labeling reagent. These labeled reagents are unique components of the LRN Assay Kits which are used for Bio threat agent detection. The proposed contract action is for supplies which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This procurement is not set-aside for small business.
