Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned
 

Description

Pursuant to Section 3 of the Foreign Service Buildings Act and other authorities, the U.S. Department of State, Office of Overseas Buildings Operations is seeking proposals to pre-qualify Service Disabled Veteran Owned/Operated firms and small businesses for design-build contracts. Primary focus of work will be in mechanical or electrical, or fire and life safety, plus plumbing, telecommunications, and security work. It is anticipated that a minimum of six (6) and a maximum of ten (10) awards will result from this solicitation. First preference will be given to small businesses owned by Service Disabled Veterans. If the U.S. Government does not receive competitive proposals from six (6) to ten (10) Service Disabled Veteran Owned-Firms, the remaining awards will be made to other small businesses. Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contracts will be issued for one (1) base year plus four (4) option years. Work will be designated in individual task orders with scopes of work (SOW), identifying time, fixed price, and details of what must be accomplished. These procedures have been authorized under the Foreign Service Act, 22 U.S.C 294 to ensure timely completion of the Security Construction and Maintenance Program for overseas Embassies and Consulates.
