Description

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) Office of Research and Development, National Environmental Research Laboratory, Ecosystems Research Division (ORD/NERL/ERD) intends to award a sole source fixed-price purchase order using Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Commercial Item Acquisition, and Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to Verizon Select Services of Atlanta, Georgia, under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1. The purpose of this acquisition is to provide Parts Only Coverage for the maintenance of our government-owned NEC NEAX 2400 telephone system and peripherals, including a Voice Mail Octel 250 system. The system is located in Athens, Georgia. The NAICS code for this procurement is 517110. It has been determined that because of the age of the equipment and the difficulty in procuring parts, Verizon Select Services is the only vendor uniquely qualified to meet this requirement. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE [RFQ] IS AVAILABLE. Nothwithstanding, any firm who believes it is capable of meeting EPA?s requirement as stated herein may submit a response, which if received within 15 calendar days of the date of this announcement will be considered. Responses to this posting must be in writing. A determination not to compete the proposed Purchase order based upon the responses to this notice is solely within he discretion of the Government.
