Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) plans to issue an order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA), N00019-04-G-0011, on a sole source basis with Pioneer UAV Inc. (PUI), 224 Schilling Circle, Suite 225, Hunt Valley, MD 21031 to acquire essential ongoing engineering and logistic support services necessary to maintain the Pioneer Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Program. PUI is the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the Pioneer UAV and is the only firm with the unique knowledge, experience, technical expertise, and technical data required to perform these efforts. Award to any one other than PUI would result in significant costs to assimilate the required learning for these tasks, a break of continuity, and unacceptable delays in fulfilling the Navy's requirements. The estimated period of performance is October 2004 to September 2005. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.
