Description

Contractor to provide all labor, tools, materials and transportation to complete Project 568-04-220, Transitional Recovery House at the VA Black Hills Health Care System, Hot Springs, SD. Work shall include renovation of existing VA duplex, Quarters #29 for a Transitional Recovery House. Renovation includes the demolition of selected walls, a new handicap restroom, remodel bedrooms and remodel of the laundry and dining rooms. The mechanical components shall include a new exposed wet-pipe automatic fire sprinkler system, new PVC 4" fire service main, new water heater and plumbing modifications. The electrical components shall include new fire alarm system, related remodel items and other electrical modifications to meet the applicable codes. All work to be performed within strict accordance with contract drawings and specifications. A refundable deposit of $50.00 is required for the bidding plans and specifications. Checks shall be made out to the attention of the "Agent Cashier". Requests for the plans and specifications must be in writing addressed to the Contracting Officer, (FIN 20), 500 North 5th Street, Hot Springs, SD 57747. Construction estimate for this project is between $100,000 and $125,000. Plans and specifications shall be available approximately August 13, 2004. Bid opening is scheduled for September 9, 2004 at 3:00pm local time. This solicitation is set aside for small business. Applicable NAICS code is 236118 Residential Remodelers. Subject to the availability of funds.
