Description

System/Modular/Freestanding Furniture PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF SYSTEM/MODULAR/FREESTANDING FURNITURE This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This item is prepared in accordance with (IAW) the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, and this announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. There will be no hard copies distributed. Wright Patterson Air Force Base has a requirement to purchase free- standing modular furniture and accessories for the Aeronautical Systems Center. The contractor shall provide purchasing action and complete operational installation of freestanding furniture and accessories for ASC/LU, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, OH. Required delivery date is on or before 22 OCTOBER 2004. The furniture and accessory installation must be completely operational NO LATER THAN 29 OCTOBER 2004. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-24 Effective 19 Jul 2004. Solicitation FA8601- 04-T-0144 is a Request for Quotations (RFQ). North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 337214 and the size standard is 500 employees. GSA pricing will be considered. The following paragraphs (a) thru (c) are supplemental instructions (Addendum to Provision FAR 52.212-1) to offerors for development of quotations. (a) Purpose: These instructions prescribe the format of quotation and describe the approach for the development and presentation of quotation data. They are designed to ensure the submission of information essential to the understanding and comprehensive validation of quotations. The instructions permit the inclusion of any additional data or information an offeror deems pertinent. Offerors are cautioned to follow the detailed instructions fully and carefully, as the government intends to make an award based on initial offers received, without discussions with such offerors. (b) Completed Request For Quotations Quotations shall be submitted to 88 CONS/PKS, Attention: Jan Banta, Contract Specialist Area C, Building 1, Room 109, 1940 Allbrook Drive, Suite 3, Wright Patterson AFB, OH 45433-5309 (c) Past Performance: In the quotation, the offeror shall submit a Past Performance Reference List citing the contract number, name, phone number and fax number of Point of Contact (POC), dollar value of contract and period of performance on three recent and relevant contracts for the same or similar items. The OFFEROR will submit a copy of the Present/Past Performance Questionnaire (attached to this website - be sure the offeror?s company name is on questionaire) to each of the three references with instructions to send completed questionnaire to the Contracting Specialist NO LATER THAN 20 Aug at 4:00 P.M., the address label shall reflect the following information: Solicitation Number 04T0144, ?To be delivered unopened to the Contract Specialist, Jan Banta? and shall be delivered to the address above. Past Performance Questionnaires may be faxed to (937) 257-3926, Attn: Jan Banta). The government will use information submitted by the offeror as well as other sources to conduct its Past Performance evaluation. Solicitation provisions at FAR 52.212-2 ( Jan 1999) Evaluation Commercial Items ? The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Section 1008 of the National Defense Authorization Act of Fiscal Year 2001 requires any claims for payments (invoices) under DoD contract to be submitted in electronic form.
