Description
The Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) has a requirement for Anode Bed Replacement at Yuma County, Arizona, under Invitation for Bid No. 04-SI-34-0215. The project location is approximately 5 miles north of the Mexican border, and is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 234990 and the size standard is $28.5 million. The project consists of relocating and drilling new deep anode beds for four locations, reestablishing one existing anode bed, and establishing one new anode bed in an effort to bring BOR's A-22 sludge pipeline cathodic protection system back online. The estimated price range for this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. It is strongly recommended that all prospective offerors attend the site visit to examine the location of the work. A formal site visit is tentatively scheduled for late August 2004. A firm date will be included in the solicitation. This requirement is being procured in accordance with Part 14, Sealed Bidding, of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. It is anticipated that this solicitation will be issued on or about August 19, 2004, however all dates in this announcements are subject to change. The solicitation will be issued via http://ideasec.nbc.gov but the Government reserves the right to issue the solicitation on paper or CD-ROM if the web site becomes inoperable or if the Contracting Officer determines it is in the Government's best interest to do so. Offerors should register on the web site to be included on the offerors list in order to receive notifications pertaining to the solicitation, or visit the web site after August 19, 2004, in order to access the solicitation and any subsequent amendments and/or notices. Effective October 1, 2003, prospective vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to the issuance of a contract. The Central Contractor Registration Handbook and information on the registration process can be obtained via the CCR web site, http://www.ccr.gov or by calling 1-888-227-2423.
