Description
DESC: The United States Section of the International Boundary and Water Commission (USIBWC) is seeking to make a single award to a contractor to furnish all labor, materials, equipment and supervision for the construction of a security fence and associated gates along the perimeter of a Radio Communication Tower Pad. Total length of fence is 268 Linear Feet (LF). The fence will be chain link, with steel posts and hardware, and topped with 3 strands of barbed wire. The chain link fence fabric shall be 8 feet high, with fence posts set in concrete. Both single panel (pedestrian) and double panel (vehicular) swing gates will be installed in the fence. The following list itemizes the work under this contract. 1) Construct 8-ft high fence along the perimeter of Radio Communication Tower Pad with 3 strands of barbed wire, 2) Construct one (1) double panel vehicular gate in the fence at the north side of the Tower Pad. 3) Construct four (4) single panel pedestrian gates. The Project Site is located within Cameron County, Texas and approximately two (2) miles south of the Cameron County Airport, on the east side of Buena Vista Road. The contractor is urged to visit the job site and to become fully aware as to the existing conditions affecting the work to be done under the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall field verify existing conditions affected by or affecting the work. Estimated issuance date of RFQ IBM04Q0017 is August 19, 2004 and responses are to be received by 5:00 p.m. MDST on August 30, 2004. The work under this contract is to be completed in 90 calendar days from the date of issuance of Notice to Proceed. The estimated price range for this requirement is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. Requests must include business name, point of contact, address, telephone number (include area code) and RFQ number. This requirement is a 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The North American Industry Classification system (NAICS) code is 238990. The applicable small business size standard is 12 million dollars annual average gross receipts for the past three years.
