Description
The scope of work includes miscellaneous work at the loading docks of the Detroit Bulk Mail Center (DBMC) in Allen Park, MI. The work includes the removal and replacement dock seals and electro-hydraulic pit type dock levelers and the installation of steel plates at docks to receive dock levelers and dock bumpers. 3?-0? long dock levelers will be installed in the existing 7?-0? long pits. The scope of work will also include providing rapid set concrete infill at those dock locations. The work also includes concrete repair at the face of several docks. The Contractor must furnish and install all conduit, conductors, and other miscellaneous electrical work required to provide power to the dock equipment and, where required, to interface dock equipment with each other through the Master Control Panel. Contractor must coordinate all work with the DBMC Facility Representative including obtaining hot permits as required. No more than (3) docks may be out of service at one time. Minority-owned and Women-owned Business participation is encouraged. Construction cost range: $150,000 to $200,000 Construction completion time will be 120 calendar days from the date after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Evaluation criteria in addition to price will be considered and are as follows: Past Performance; adequate demonstration of successful completion of projects of a similar scope and magnitude as that of the proposed work using information submitted in the Qualification Statement; Supplier Capability; to be performed using information submitted in the Qualification Statement; Project Management Plan and Approach; Project Scheduling, Proposed Project Team and Company Organization; Quality Control Plan/Team; and Firm?s Standard Safety Plan. Specifications will be available on or about August 3, 2004. Specifications will be provided for a non-refundable cost of $75.00, for all requests received no later than August 23, 2004. This is included in the price of the prints and specifications. USPS Express Mail service is also available at an additional cost. There will be no public opening of offers.
