Description
AWARDING OF THIS PROCUREMENT IS UNDER PENDING FUNDS AVAILABILITY. Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to manufacture and install prefabricated, transportable, precast concrete buildings at Cape Blanco and Goodwin Peak for Group North Bend. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: CAPE BLANCO; Clear and grade the site to receive a new concrete slab base, for the new transportable, precast concrete building; install a new prefabricated, precast, post-tensioned, transportable concrete building on the new concrete slab; provide the following electrical items for the new buildings: electrical panel and quad receptacle in the buildings; flourescent light fixtures inside the building and photocell operated wall mounted metal halide light outside the door; combination air conditioning & heat unit including mounting bracket for the unit; electrical power distribution to the air conditioning & heating unit, receptacle and lights in the building. Provide underground electrical feeder and ground installation from existing to new electrical panel; provide heat pump unit; provide entry panel ports. GOODWIN PEAK; Clear and grade the site to receive a new concrete slab base for the new transportable, precast concrete building; install a new prefabricated, precast, post-tensioned, transportable, concrete building on the new concrete slab. The new building shall be installed prior to removal of the existing fiberglass communications building. The prefabricated building contractor shall provide the following electrical items for the new building: electrical panel and quad receptacle in the building; fluorescent light fixtures inside the building and and photocell operated wall mounted metal halide light outside the door; combination air conditioning & heating unit including mounting bracket for the unit; electrical power distribution to the air conditioning & heating unit, receptacle and lights in the building. Provide underground electrical feeder and ground installation from existing to new electrical panel; remove and dispose of the existing fiberglass communications building; provide heat pump; provide entry panel ports. The estimated cost of this procurement is between $100,000 to $250,000 (CONSTRUCTION BIDS ONLY). Performance period is 105 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. This project is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The applicable NAICS code is 236210. Small Business size standard is $28.5 million. If it does not appear on that date, please check back daily. The date set for receipt of proposals is approximately 20 September 2004. This date is estimated and may change. For security reasons all Coast Guard Drawings are available through the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDS) which will have a separate link on the FedBizOpps webpage identified as Technical Data Package. Offerors will need to register with FedTeDS and receive a user name and password to be able to download Coast Guard Drawings. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE's) The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), offers working capital financing and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. DHS's Bonding Assistance Program (BAP) offers bid, performance and payment bonds on contracts up to $1,000,000. DHS's Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers lines of credit to finance accounts receivable. Maximum line of credit is $500,000.00 with interest at the prime rate.
