Description

Services of a contractor to furnish all tools, labor, materials and expertise to complete Project 596-03-105, _Replace Fire Alarm System, LD,_ at VA Medical Center, Leestown Road Division, Lexington, KY, in accordance with drawings and specifications. Work includes general construction, alterations, fire alarm system work, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems work, necessary removal of existing structures, etc. Estimated construction cost range is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. Work to be completed within 270 calendar days. This procurement is 100% set aside for competition among firms located in a HubZone, and is subject to availability of funds. Proof of HubZone classification must accompany the bid. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) No. 238220 with a size standard of $12 million applies to this procurement. Solicitation documents (specifications only) will be available for download on the Website http://www.bos.oamm.va.gov/ after August 17, 2004. Drawings will not be uploaded and must be requested in writing to the Contracting Officer; telephone requests will not be honored. Thirty-five sets of drawings will be available and will be issued on a first come, first served basis until the supply is exhausted. Drawings will be sent to the Lexington Dodge Plan Room, as well as Builders Exchange of Louisville. Potential bidders are advised that they are responsible for obtaining any amendments to the solicitation, which will be made available at this website.
