Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being req uested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a 100% Small Business Set Aside. Solicitation Number is W911YN-04-R-0006. The NAICS code 334519 applies to this solicitation. The size standard is 500 employees. The SIC code 3829 also a pplies to this solicitation for a Ruggedized, Portable gas chromatograhy/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) detector. Name Brand: CT-1128 or equal. The item descriptions are as follows: ITEM 0001: portable GC/MS contained on a single platform (no larger than 15 inL x 23inW x 15inH)that includes a rough pump, two turbomolecular vacuum pumps, a hydrogen gas supply bottle and a SPME (Solid Phase Micro Extraction) stirrer/heater for liquid and solid sample preparation. In addition, the injection port must accept the SPME fiber without modification. The unit should contain a gas chromatograph that permits the use of industry standard capillary columns which can be wound on a 4 inch cage. The gas chromatograph should be capable of double ramp temperature programming up to a temperature of 325 degrees Celsius. The unit must contain an Agilent 5973 mass spectrometer running Windows 2000 operating system capable of detecting VOCs from 2-800 AMUs. The unit should weigh no more than 75 pounds and include an anti-vibration counter mount with quick disconnect features so that the unit can be transported while mounted in a commercial vehicle. The unit must include a reusable shipping container which holds the GC/MS unit, its toolkit and the laptop, QTY: 2 ea. ITEM 0002: Pro vide 80 hours of training to include familiarization, care and maintenance, and usage on the GC/MS units. ITEM 0003: High usage consumables kit, GTY 2 ea.
