Description
The National Park Service, Rock Creek Park is seeking Request for Proposals (RFP) to provide management, supervision, labor, materials, supplies, repair parts, tools, equipment, etc. necessary to plan, coordinate, and ensure effective and economical performance, repairs and test for all electrical fixtures, equipment, and associated wiring as specified. Contractor shall furnish necessary lift devices required to work on relamping the zoo tunnel and street lights at the Carter Barron Parking lot, etc. Contractor shall perform minor work such as line traces, re-routing of lines and installation of the occasional new outlet, switch or fixture. A tentative date has been set for a mandatory Preproposal Conference at the Rock Creek Park Maintenance Yard, 5000 Glover Road, N.W. on Wednesday, August 25th @ 10:00 am. Proposals will be evaluated on the following criteria in descending order of importance: 1) Professional reference and experience (20 points); 2) Professional qualifications, training and workforce (20 points); 3) Price (20 points); 4) Methodology (15 points); 5) Equipment (10 points); 6) Products (5 points); 8) Safety plan (10 points). (*note: A solicitation will follow with a brief narrative of each criteria listed) Award will be made on a "Best Value" basis in accordance with the Evaluation Criteria listed above which are weighed according to their importance. A "Best Value" is defined as the offer that results in the most advantageous acquisition decision for the Government. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the dept. of the Interior's National Business Center (NBC) Website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available. All proposals must be mailed or delivered to: Rock Creek Park, 3545 Williamsburg Lane, NW. Washington, DC 20008 attn; Diane Austin, by September 15, 2004 close of business 4:00pm, please reference: RFP (Electrical) N345004004. Propective offerors desiring to conduct business with DOI are requested to register at the NBC site. The Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 2001-16 requires all contractors to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database prior to any award. This solicitation has a 4 year option.
