- STATEMENT OF WORK: To provide power to a remote radio repeater at the US Navy Redington Training Facility in Redington Maine. This system is a three-tiered system to include solar/photovoltaic panels, wind power, and back-up propane generator. Stages one and two (solar/wind) will provide 24 volt DC power to charge a battery bank. Stage three (backup propane generator) will also provide 24 volt DC power to the battery bank should the two primary sources of power be incapable of doing so. Additionally, the generator will provide 110 volt power to the small building in which the batteries and other Navy owned equipment will be housed. System will be installed and fully functioning. System will provide the same function and features as described in the following equipment. (The equipment models suggested are provided through an engineering proposal purchased by this activity). General Specifications: Repeater power requirements are 24 volts DC transmitting 385 watts and standby power of 55 watts The customer will provide: 1. Fully enclosed out-building to house batteries and misc. equipment. 2. Erected antenna tower/mast for vendor to mount two wind turbines.
