The United State Naval Academy (USNA) has a requirement for a 250is Imaging Spectrograph System and Accessories manufactured by Bruker Optics, 19 Fortune Drive, Billerica, MA 01821. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1: Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services shall satisfy the agency?s requirement. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five (45) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice or received as a result of a notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The procurement of this highly specialized service in a competitive basis will result in a duplication of cost and time to the government. Manufactured by Bruker Optics (Clin 0001 ?
