Description

This notice is for informational purposes only. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source purchase order firm-fixed price type for stainless steel cages to Suburban Surgical Co, Inc. 275 Twelfth Street Wheeling Illinois 60090. These cages are needed to house primates in accordance to Title 9 AWA, and the GUIDE. These cages are like the other cages that ARB has and parts will be interchangeable. The equipment design and manufactured by Suburban Surgical Co., Inc and no other entity has proprietary engineering/CADD drawings, and the proprietary design for the 101539-08 stainless steel 4-compartment socialization primate unit. The proposed contract action is for supplies which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Due to 6.302-2 Unusual and compelling urgency the proposed contract action is made under the conditions described in 6.302-2 unusual and compelling urgency precludes competition to the maximum extent practicable and the Government would be seriously injured if the agency complies with the time periods specified in 5.203 Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
