- Description
- The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) have a requirement to purchase an ImagIR? Camera Head from Santa Barbara Focalplane, 346 Bolay Drive, Goleta, CA 93117. The ImagIR? Camera Head consist of: SBF161 128x128, with 40um pixels Windowing Snap Shot Integration Mode MCT FPA, Four Channel Electronics with 14 Bit A/D Converter with camera link, Standard Pour-Fill LN2 Dewar, Data Cable, Actuator Valve, Funnel and Hard Shell Shipping Container. The following specifications shall be included in the system: -Model: SBF 161 -Format: 128x128 pixels, 4 outputs -Pixel size: 40 um x 40 um -Sensor Material: HgCdTe -Optimized wavelength band: <2um to Cutoff Wavelength -Useful wavelength band: Nominal cutoff wavelength >10 um -Integration type: Snapshot, Integrate while read -Integration resolution: 1% to 98% of frame time -Integration well capacity: 51x106 electrons -Widowing: Yes -Maximum frame rate: 1610 Hz (full frame 4 channel) -FPA temperature of operation: <80 K -Typical NETD near 300 K w/ f2.3: <25 mK The deliverable data package for the SBF161 Camera system shall include the following items: DC Uniformity 2-D gray scale plot, video oscilloscope plot showing DC uniformity, frame rate, and integration time, calibration results of two point calibration showing Mean NEDT and number of bad pixels, and a bad pixel map showing location of defective pixels. The Institute intends to purchase this equipment by other than full and open competition from Santa Barbara Focalplane. To the best of the Governments knowledge they are the sole manufacturer and distributor of this equipment. Interested vendors may identify in writing their interest with a capability statement to the Contracting Officer prior to the closing date of this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, all responses received before the closing date of this announcement will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition is based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. It is anticipated that Request for Quotation (RFQ) NIH-NIDDK-04-285 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due ten (10) days after the release of the RFQ. The anticipated award date is September 6, 2004. Request for copies of the RFQ must be in writing and may be FAXED to 301-480-8261. Quotations must be submitted in writing to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases 6707 Democracy Blvd., Room 773, Bethesda, Maryland 20817 Attention: Diana Ly. FAX quotations must contain offerors names, address, telephone number and fax number. FAX quotations will only be accepted if dated and signed by an authorized company representative.
