Description
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), A.R.M. Loxahatchee NWR is initiating projects to document the effects of dry conditions, map native and exotic vegetation, and document the presence of aquatic refugia. In order to accomplish this task, recent low level aerial photography is required that reflects the current vegetative conditions and shows small (1 m) areas of standing water. Scope of Work: The products to be provided by the contractor are GPS airborne controlled vertical color infrared aerial photography. The photography shall be at a scale of 1:10,000, 9 inch X 9 inch, color infrared, positive transparencies as well as contact prints that will provide full stereo photographic coverage of the geographic extent of the project area. The stereoscopic coverage shall be successive with appropriate adjacent overlaps of photographs within the usable portion of the field of the lens. The film products should be of the highest quality and be 100% cloud free. A photographic index shall be made from the accepted aerial photography. The primary purpose of the aerial photography is to conduct vegetative studies and stereoscopic mapping of plant species, communities and their patterns within the area as well as identify small (1m ) areas of standing water. USFWS ARM Loxahatchee NWR intends to have the acquired aerial photographs pugged and aerial triangulated for mapping purposes. Request for Quotation (RFQ) No. 401814Q227, will be issued on or about August 27, 2004, with a tenative closing date of September 08, 2004. You must have a valid Dun and Bradstreet (DUNS) number and e-mail address to register.
