- The synopsis previously posted did not include the name of the facility nor when the preproposal conference will be held. Below is a revised synopsis. This project is for Roof and HVAC Replacement at the Western Avenue Garage in Chicago, IL. The contractor must provide all material, labor, tools, supplies, equipment, transportation, superintendence, and all other services necessary to complete the HVAC and Roof Replacement. The contractor must include all incidental work described in the solicitation. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to; Selective demolition of heating equipment; Selective demolition of existing ductwork; Provide (3) new gas fired heat recovery units; Provide new ductwork; Provide gas fired infrared heating units; Extend gas line to new heat recovery units; Extend electrical power to new heat recovery units; Add lighting to selected areas on interior of building; Provide structural steel supports and foundation to elevate (2) new heat recovery units; Modify roof structure and construct (2) dormers structures to accommodate new heat recovery; Provide miscellaneous drywall construction to infill existing openings; Construct concrete slab on grade to support (1) heat recovery unit; Provide landscaping; Complete tear off of existing built up roof system; Installation of new rigid insulation and single ply membrane roof system; Remove and replace skylights; Repair selected areas of wood roof deck; Repair selected areas of masonry parapet wall. Minority-owned and Women-owned Business participation is encouraged. Construction cost range: $1,150,000 to $1,200,000 Construction completion time will be 180 calendar days from the date after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Evaluation criteria in addition to price will be considered and are as follows: Past Performance; adequate demonstration of successful completion of projects of a similar scope and magnitude as that of the proposed work using information submitted in the Qualification Statement; Supplier Capability; to be performed using information submitted in the Qualification Statement; Project Management Plan and Approach; Project Scheduling, Proposed Project Team and Company Organization; Quality Control Plan/Team; and Firm?s Standard Safety Plan. A Preproposal meeting will be held on August 17, 2004, at 9:00 am, at the Western Avenue Garage 2301 W. 51st St; Chicago, IL. Specifications will be available on or about August 5, 2004. Specifications will be provided for a non-refundable cost of $100.00, for all requests received no later than August 24, 2004. The proposal due date is Tuesday, August 31, 2004. This is included in the price of the prints and specifications. USPS Express Mail service is also available at an additional cost. There will be no public opening of offers. All proposal information received is CONFIDENTIAL until award of a contract. The name of the successful offeror and the amount of the contract will be released as public information. The number of offerors, their names, and the amount of their offers WILL NOT BE RELEASED AS PUBLIC INFORMATION.
