Description

R- TRAVEL AND TOURISM DATA - The Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA, intends to award sole source procurement to DK Shifflet & Associates to provide data for the travel and tourism satellite accounts. It is in best interest of Bureau of Economic Analysis(BEA) to use the same vendor since they were instrumental at the inception of these satellite accounts. D.K. Shiflet & Associates is the only known source that produces these data with the frequency, quantity, and quality BEA needs to produce the travel and tourism satellite accounts. In order to maintain consistency and comparability of the data?which is crucial since BEA produces the travel and tourism satellite accounts in order to show changes in spending on travel and tourism over time?it is necessary to continue to use DK Shifflet?s data. The award will be made under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. All written responses must include a written narrative statement of capability, including detailed technical information demonstrating their ability to meet the above requirement. The response must be sufficient to permit agency analysis to establish a bonafide capability to meet the requirement. Failure to submit such documentation will result in the Government proceeding as stated above. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Affirmative written responses must be received no later than 15 days after publication of this synopsis.
