Description
The Air Armament Center (AAC), Eglin AFB, FL has a requirement for a Ultra Violet Warning System Simulator and Accessories. This is a sole source combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items published for informational purposes only and is the only announcement that will be posted. It is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ)announcement #F33TSP40560200. It is prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This combined synopsis solicitations is posted as notification of the Government's intent to enter into a sole source award to ESL Defense Limited Services Inc under the authority of FAR 13.5 and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). The Government will accept and evaluate information on potential sources capable of delivering the requirements stated below. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334511, with a small business size standard of 750 employees. Please identify your business size in your response based upon this standard. This solicitation is unrestricted. An extensive market research was conducted including a sources sought synopsis (SSS) via the Federal Business Ops system. Proposals were submitted and evaluated as a result of the announcement. The Ultra Violet Warning System Simulators and Accessories support the critical missions of the 46th Test Wing. After completion of the evaluation the personnel of the 46th Test Wing, Eglin AFB have recommended that the Ultra Violet Warning System Simulators and Accessories be of a standard that complies with the specification described below that can only be provided by ESL Defense Limited Inc as they are the only known manufacture that has demonstrated the capability of meeting the equipment specifications described in the SSS and the requirements provided below. Specific Requirements: CLIN 0001 Quantity 1, Head Optical, Ultra Violet Missile Warning System Simulator - the system shall: -Be capable of providing at least 500 MW/sr maximum intensity when operating at 100% power output mode in band (250mm to 290mm). -Be capable of adjusting both output power and time vi remote RS-232 serial port. -Temporal outputs shall be adjustable in increments of 5 ms or less. -The output power shall be adjustable in increments of 5ms or less. -Minimum incremental output power adjustment shall be .0001% -Maximum output profiles no greater than 2 seconds -Include a UV witness sensor that is capable of measuring a time history of the in band intensity of the simulator?s output power -Have a halp-power beam divergence of no greater than +/-2.5 degrees -Be capable of operating from a 120 vp; t AC single phase power supply unit -Be remotely controlled via RS 232 serial port or as a stand alone unit -The Optical Output Module shall have dimensions no greater than -250 mmX250mmX500mm and a mass of no greater than 15Kg -Operating temp:-40C to 55C. CLIN 0002, Power Supply -For Optical Head must, operate on 120 volts, AC, Single Phase, PN: ESL EU000338-01-FG or equal. Delivery Schedule: The contractor will be required to deliver all items within 6 months after receipt of the Purchase Order. Warranties: Any commercial warranties shall be included with the submission of all quotes.
