Description
The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Keyport is soliciting for the Drydock and Repair of the U.S. Navy Vessel Agate Passage (YP-697). Performance is expected to commence on 24 August 2004 and be completed no later than 30 September 2004. The Government will deliver the boat to the awardee?s dry dock. The repairs anticipated involve the following work items: Docking and undocking services; Replace hull and shaft zinc; Pressure wash underwater hull, freeboard, superstructure, masts, caprail, and bullwork inboard; Painting the vessel; Repair of duplex sea strainers; Replace deck scuttles; Replace and tag hydraulic hoses; Blank hull valves; Repair superstructor damage; Install hull mounted transducer; Replace hull valves; Inspect propulsion system; Inspect rudders; Clean MSD tank and system; Clean fuel oil tank; Reseal main deck; Purchase and install davit crane. Vessel Characteristics: Length 108 feet, Width 25 feet. Construction: Wood, DBL Plank with Aluminum! superstructure. This procurement is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued by 13 August 2004. The anticipated closing date of the solicitation will be 20 August 13, 2004. The anticipated dates when the vessel is available for contractor shipcheck will be provided within the solicitation document. The RFQ will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link www.neco.navy.mil. Offerors wishing to submit an offer are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website and to frequently monitor the site for any amendments to the RFQ. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. An email request to hendricksonmj@kpt.nuwc.navy.mil will be accepted in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. After downloading the solicitation, firms interested in submitting quotes must: (1) complete the pricing, (2) complete all represent! ations and certifications found in the solicitation (3) and ensure current registration in the DoD Central Contractor Registration database (http://www.ccr.gov/). No bidders list will be maintained by this office. Failure to respond to the electronically posted RFQ and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of quotes may render your offer nonresponsive and result in rejection of the same. Based upon market research, the Government is using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. Note 1 applies.
