Description
THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT; THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ONLY. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to gain knowledge of potentially qualified sources and their ability to perform the work contemplated in a future solicitation. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, and if the Government still plans to proceed with the acquisition, a solicitation announcement will be published on the Federal Business Opportunities website (FedBizOps). Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not an adequate response to any future solicitation for services described in this sources sought synopsis. Following is a general description of work for the anticipated contract. The Project & Contracting Office in Baghad, Iraq intends to seek Engineering services for the pavement of approximately 776km of rural roads spread throughout the following governates of Iraq: Diyala, Qadissiya, Babil, Najaf, Basrah, Baghdad, Karbala, Mayssan, Ninewa, Salah Al Din, Wassit, Muthanna, Tameen, and Thi-Qar. Several contracts may be awarded in each of the governates, with contract awards potentially ranging from $500,000 to $3,000,000, and project duration may range from a few months to one year, depending upon size of projects. The Project & Contracting Office is looking for the following information: (1) Description of specialized experience in performing work similar in scope to that which is contemplated; (2) a list of present projects, as well as projects performed in the last three (3) years that are of a simiilar nature to work contemplated (please describe scope and size of project, provide project or contract number, and name and phone number of client point of contact, and describe whether you were a prime or subcontractor on each job); (3) describe your access to sufficient local labor and resources to accomplish similar projects; (4) describe your firm?s ability to perform work of superior quality and to manage health and safety of workers; (5) and describe your firm?s access to capital resouces/funding to undertake work of similar scope to that which is contemplated. Responses should not exceed ten (10) pages.
