Description

This is a request for information to locate potential sources for two (2) Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) laser printers with support maintenance to support production printing. The printers will be co-located with existing Farm Service Agency (FSA) equipment at the Kansas City Administrative Office (KCAO). FSA will also require software to support the printers and provide check tracking. A Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) software package will be needed to provide two modules, one to route any print job between printers and the second to convert forms into printer language. Also, a check tracking software is needed to provide an accounting record of each negotiable instrument in order to maintain an audit trail. Technical specifications will be based on the hardware purchased. The Government Point of Contact (POC) is Jerry Shead, 816-926-6106, but all requests or questions must be submitted by e-mail. This is strictly a Request for Information and does not constitute any obligation on behalf of the Government to ever issue a solicitation.
