Description

The Department of Commerce/National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration intends to negotiate of a non-competitive basis with the Xerox Corporation of Monrovia, CA. The Contractor shall provide maintenance of the Xerox Corporation Information System. The system consist of(1)The XDMS,(Xerox Distribution Message Analysis System)consisting of: A Sparc 10 control unit SSN: 348f3551.GNP Computer SSN: 2181 Automatic Switching System SSN: 0930703516 (2) OCR (Optical Scan Reader) Model 5050, SSN: 495404 (3) MAPS (Multiple Addressee Processing System) consisting of: Line Printer, Model CXMP 530, SSN 601000, Eagle (Line Printer Controller), Sparc Station, Model: IPX, SSN: 323U0036. Offerors who believe they can meet this requirement are requested to submit in writing an affirmative response. All responses must include a written narrative statement of capability, including detailed technical information demonstrating their ability to meet the above requirements. The response must be sufficient to permit agency analysis to establish a bonafide capability to meet the requirements. Failure to submit such documentation will result in the Government proceeding as stated above. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Affirmative written responses must be received no later than 15 days after publication of this synopsis. The solicitation for this requirement will be prepared in accordance with FAR Part 13 procedures. A Firm Fixed Price Contract with a twelve month base period and four twelve month options is contemplated. Responses may be emailed to juanita.beck@noaa.gov.
