Description

The United States Property and Fiscal Office for Virginia intends to award a sole source contract with the Johnson Gage Company, 534 Cottage Grove Road, Bloomfield, Connecticut 06002-3093 for an Internal and External Thread Gage Kit. 1. These gage frames and above support items are for helicopter main spindle threads. Asymmetric Threads BC/3 1- Frame Assemblies/Indicators/ Elements for .5000 - 20 Asymmetric Threads 1- Frame Assemblies/Indicators/ Elements for .3750 - 24 Asymmetric Threads 1- Frame Assemblies/Indicators/ Elements for .3125 - 24 Asymmetric Threads Each item is fixed and dedicated for the helicopter hub bolts with special 30/35 degree, contracted lead threads, and includes asymmetric rolls, gage frames and indicators and masters traceable to N.I.S.T standards. 2. Internal Thread Gauging System GJ5/GJ5 Safety Critical, Segment Type: Part Number LPIPD-33 1- Body Units/Indicators/Elements .3125-24 UNJF-3B 1- Body Units/Indicators/Elements .4375-20 UNJF-3B 1- Body Units/Indicators/Elements .6250-18 UNJF-3B Each item is fixed and dedicated with PD and FD segments, maximum and minimum gage bodies with shields, indicators, mounting bases with hardware, threaded masters to traceable to N.I.S.T. standards and internal thread ID plates. In the absence of qualified sources with a brand name or equal, a contract will be awarded to the Johnson Gage Company, under the Other than Full and Open competition procedures, pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304 and FAR 6.302-1: Only one responsible source. All qualified sources must respond in writing not later than 2 P.M. 01 September 2004. Oral communication is not acceptable in response to this solicitation.
