Description
The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is soliciting proposals in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures in Part 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). This is a full and open competition. The purpose of this procurement is to provide support to promote more inclusive training on the subject of health disparities and to bring the subsequent research relevance to a broad cross-section of State and Local Maternal and Child Health (MCH) officials. This activity will continue to apply new analytic models to examine the multidimensional and contextual aspects of disparity issues. It is anticipated that a better understanding concerning the context of disparities in health outcomes obtained as results of the study may lead to more effective public health interventions and the identification of appropriate collaborations between public health and other sectors of the community. An important component of this project is translation of the implications of the study's rigorous analysis to recommendations for State and local officials in order to improve policies and intervention effectiveness. The contractor shall: 1) Submit a final revised work plan and research design based upon discussions with the Project Officer; 2) Analyze data; and 3) Prepare a final report. THE SOLICITATION is attached to this web posting. ALL QUESTIONS about this requirement must be submitted by email to abroider@hrsa.gov no later than 10:00 AM local prevailing time on August 25, 2004. Responses to questions will be posted at this site. THE CLOSING DATE FOR RECEIPT OF PROPOSALS will be on September 7, 2004, at no later than 2:00 PM local prevailing time. #HRSA-04-S240-0025-AB
