Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) intends to award and AE contract in the near future to consolidate the services of the Highland Drive Division into the University Drive and Heinz Divisions. The project requires the overview of a single AE firm to plan and control the numerous contemplated projects and project delivery systems. There are two projects contemplated at the University Drive site: 900-1200 Car Parking Garage ($15 mil to $20 Mil) and 186,000 GSF Addition with 27,000 GSF Renovation ($40 mil to $50 mil). There are 5 projects contemplated at the Heinz Division: Demolition of 8 Buildings ($3 mil - $5 mil), 361,000 GSF Addition with 4,000 GSF Renovation ($70 mil - $80 mil), Administration Building ($5 mil to $10 mil), Laundry Building ($5 mil to $10 mil) and a Residential Villa ($5 mil to $10 mil). During the design and demolition of these buildings, design will be on-going for the Ambulatory Care Center, the laundry, the Administration Building and the Residential Villa. An AE needs to have the experience with the complexities of managing the overview, the designs and the schedules of these numerous projects. Our intent is to issue it to a small business; therefore we are asking those companies that if you are a small business, can you send us your technical capabilities for a large scale electrical design for a hospital? The design project is estimated to be about $190.8 million. Your response is needed via email by 4:00 PM EST on August 23, 2004. PLEASE SEND YOUR RESPONSE TO MARIA PIZARRO email: maria.pizarro@hq.med.va.gov and indicate whether you are SBA Certified under the 8(a), 8(a) Native American, HUBZone, SDB and/or SDVOSB Architect or Architect/Engineering Firm with NAICS 541310 to provide professional services for the advanced planning and design of this project.
