- Sources sought for quotes for the purchase and removal of mixed metal scrap located at Camp Guernsey, Guernsey, Wyoming. The mixed metal scrap collection container will be provided by the vendor and located in two locations at Camp Guernsey; cantonm ent area and the North Training Area-Target Storage Area, approximately 15 miles north of the city of Guernsey, Wyoming. Vendor will pick up filled roll-off containers or open top trailer and replace them with empty roll-off containers or open top trailer at a minimum of six (6) times on a bi-monthly basis or within five (5) workdays after oral notification by the Contracting Officer or their authorized representative. The vendor will move the containers to public scales located at Guernsey Stone Quarry a t their expense under the supervision of a Government representative. The estimated purchase price from the Government for the mixed scrap metal shall be included in the quote. Mixed metal scrap includes but is not limited to: Iron, steel, aluminum, stai nless steel, wood, and plastic. The mixed metal is derived from materials used as targets, including but not limited to, metallic structural material, commercial vehicular bodies, power train components, steel plates various thicknesses and other shapes w ith foreign materials attached and unattached, misc. screws, bolts, nuts, and washers, stainless steel, scrap including tubing, cable, shop turnings, racks, galley equipment, valaves, aircraft parts, cylinders, stretchers, and other miscellaneous hardware. May contain foreign materials attached and nattached. Material content derived from but not limited to office furniture, vehicle parts, aircraft parts, stands, poles, and food service equipment. The following is an estimate of the metal content: 65% Ir on and Steel, 10% Aluminum, 5% Stainless Steel, 20% Wood, plastic, and other nonmetallic material. These are only estimates and are intended to assist with the quote. The Government cautions that the subject items have or may have one or more components, parts, constituents or ingredients that may be corrosive, reactive, ignitable, or exhibit other hazardous or toxic properties. The purchaser is cautioned to use and ultimately dispose of any hazardous components or constituents according to all applicabl e local, state, and national laws and regulations in a manner safe for the public and the environment. Payments to the Government for the scrap metal and nonmetal items can be made by cash, check, or credit card.
