- This is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format listed in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is FA4621-04-Q-0050 The solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This solicitation is reserved for small businesses; The requirement is for: Item # 1- BOILER TYPE STEAM HEATING, SIZE 1500 MBH, OTHER NAT GAS L.E.S INC. SERIES HF45BHP SCOTCH BOX MODEL HF-1500-S15-PF.G-UL/IRI/CSD-.(1,552LBS./HR) STEAM AT 8-10 PSIG WITH BOILER FEED WATER AT 212 DEGREES F WHEN FIRED WITH 1,805 MBH OF 1,000BTU/CU.FT.7-14"WC: MFG- L.E.S INC. MFG PART No. -HF-1500-S15-PF.G-UL/IRI/CSD-1: All items will be shipped FOB Destination to McConnell AFB, KS 67221. The NAICS code for this Acquisition is 423720 (Size 500) and the SIC code is 5074. Q. The burner is listed as "Operation Low/High/Low" which means two-stage firing. Also listed is a "Firing rate pressure control-modulation" and "Firing rate potentiometer" which is used only on burners with full modulation firing (a.k.a Operation: Modulation). A. The operation of the burner is full modulation not low/high/low Q. Since a "Motor starter" is also now specified, the exact job site voltage and phase should be specified (i.e. 240/1/60, 208/3/60, etc.). A. The voltage is 115 volts the unit can have a contactor or starter which ever the boiler comes with. Q. In addition the available natural gas pressure for the boiler should be listed (i.e. 7" w.c., 2-PSI, etc.). A. The gas pressure is 14" WC.
