Description

The National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) has a requirement for development of three components of the vibration meter; 1) a four bit counter/shift register chip, 2) a resistance-to-frequency conversion chip, and 3) a piezo-resistive cantilever (or comparable) accelerometer chip. This includes both circuit designs and fabrication. A detailed Performance Work Statement (PWS) will be available in the solicitation package. The period of performance will be nine (9) months from the date of purchase order. Anticipated award date is 09/10/04. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541990, with a size standard of $5.0 million. All interested small businesses may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. The competitive solicitation, solicitation amendments, and all questions and answers related to this procurement will be made available via the Internet at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. The solicitation, SB1341-04-Q-0874, is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about 08/20/2004 and will only be available via the Internet at the above web site. Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the web site. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant purchase order. There is no written solicitation document available, telephone requests will not be honored, and no bidders list will be maintained.
