Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, intends to initiate a commercial item procurement for a 7-passenger van for shuttle transportation services between New York District, 26 Federal Plaza, NYC and North Atlantic Division at the F ort Hamilton, Brooklyn, NY Installation. The performance period is for six (6) months, which will commence on 1 October 2004 and end on 31 March 2005. The acquisition will be a best-value procurement performed using the procurement process prescribed in FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items. Offers will be reviewed for completeness in satisfying the requirement of the RFQ. The solicitation will be evaluated on their merit against the following factors: (1) Past Performance, (2) Scheduling, (3) Pri ce. Price is more important than the combined technical factors. The RFQ will be available on or about 1 September 2004. Contractors must register on the Internet and download the solicitation package and all amendments from the following address: https ://ebs.nap.usace.army.mil on or after the issue date of the solicitation. If any information changes during the advertisement period, contractors are responsible to make changes to their user profile on the Internet. Failure to make changes in their user profile may cause a delay in receiving notice of the solicitation or any amendments. Hard copies will not be available. Offers will be due on or about 8 September 2004 at the close of business (4:00 p.m. ET). Offerors are responsible for printing paper copies of the solicitation. This procurement is a 100% set-aside for small business. The NAICS Code is 485999 with a size standard of $6 MILLION. Affirmative action to ensure equal employment opportunity is applicable to the resulting contract. Award will be made as a whole to one offeror. No other notification to firms for this project will be made. All contractors must be registered in the DODs Central Contract Register (CCR) before award as required by DFARS 204.7300.
