Description
Technical Services and related materials and facilities to accomplish installation, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of main and auxiliary weapons, hull, mechanical and electrical equipment to support various Submarine, SUBSAFE and Level 1 material work onboard SSN21 Class (SEAWOLF class), SSN 688 Class (LOS ANGELES Class), SSBN OHIO Class Ballistic Missile and Virginia Class Submarines. Work shall be performed during availabilities at various private and public shipyards, Naval submarine and operating bases and foreign shipyards and ports throughout the world. An estimated maximum of 2,147,560 hours of effort over a five-year period is anticipated. The contractor must be certified by the Commander, Naval Sea Systems Command to perform work on SUBSAFE systems, and must be listed on NAVSEA Notice 5000. It is intended to issue a contract for the required services with Oceaneering International Incorporated-Marine Services Division, 700 Rosemont Avenue, Chesapeake! , VA 23324. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-3 (a)(2) (i), ?To maintain a facility, producer, manufacturer, or other supplier available for furnishing supplies or services in case of a national emergency or to achieve industrial mobilization?. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within thirty days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurem! ent. Control Number N65540-04-Q-A999 applies.
