Description

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is soliciting sources for a Service Agreement for Portable Fire Extinguishers Preventative Maintenance Service. The Contractor shall provide personnel, materials and equipment required to perform the periodic Preventative Maintenance (PM), repairs and service calls related to operational readiness of all the portable fire extinguishers at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing D.C. Facility. The preventative maintenance shall be performed annually and at intervals as required by NFPA 10 for dry chemical, C02 and water-pressure fire extinguishers. The Contractor shall repair any portable fire extinguisher deficiencies in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, code and standards along with the attached Performance Based Work Statement and Performance Standards attached herein. The simplified acquisition procedures set forth in FAR Parts 12 and 13 shall be used. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation. This notice constitutes the only solicitation; a written request for quotation will not be issued. Delivery terms are F.O.B. Destination to BEP Washington, D.C. Facility. The resulting Purchase Order shall be Firm Fixed Price. Award shall be made to the responsible; technically acceptable offeror who is lowest in price. Quoters shall provide technical literature which shall be evaluated by the Government to determine conformance with the requirements as provided herein. All interested small businesses are requested to submit a written quotation, which will be considered by the agency. Quotations may be made on company letterhead. Quotations shall include the RFQ number, the proposed unit price, the proposed extended price, any prompt payment discount terms, company name, and point of contact, address, phone number, fax number, tax identification number, DUNs number, and size status (i.e., small business, disadvantaged business or woman owned business). If these services are available under GSA Schedule please provide the schedule number. Quotations are due on September 8, 2004 by 3:00 P.M. Eastern Standard time. Quotations may be mailed to the BEP Office of Procurement, Attn: Christina Tayman, 14th and C Sts, S.W., Washington, D.C. 20228-0001 or faxed to Christina Tayman at (202) 874-2200 or (202) 874-3235. All responsible sources may submit an offer upon receipt of the RFQ, this, shall be considered by the Agency. This procurement is 100% set aside for small businesses (see numbered note 1). If a response is not received from two or more small business quoters, the procurement will automatically concert to an unrestricted status.
