- AMENDMENT ISSUED TO EXTEND THE DATE FOR RECEIPT OF PROPOSALS. PLEASE SEE THE ATTACHED AMENDMENT. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for Magnetron L Band Electron Tubes, NSN 5960-00-912-4434, in the estimated annual quantity of 80 each. These tubes are to be manufactured in accordance with FAA Magnetron Specification QC-E-1/480D, dated April 27,2004. The resultant contract will be an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity type with a base year and four 1-year options. The North American Industry Classification System code is 334411. These tubes are critical to the operation of long-range Government-owned Air Route Surveillance Radar (ARSR1&2) systems, which are an integral part of the air traffic control system. Contract will include a requirement for submittal of a first article. Official testing of the ARSR1&2 magnetron will be conducted at the FAA Logistics Center, Oklahoma City, OK. No other test procedures shall be employed other than those listed within FAA Magnetron Specification QC-E-1/480D, unless it can be incorporated into an ARSR1&2 system. All interested sources should first attempt to download the Request for Offer (RFO) from the Internet. If downloading is not possible, all requests for a copy of the RFO should be submitted in writing either via facsimile (405-954-9219) or via my email address. All responsible sources may submit an offer that will be considered by the Agency. All requests should be submitted to Cheryl Edmondson and reference RFO DTFAAC-04-R-63092. This notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: DOT, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (SADBU), has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
