- This is a Pre-solicitation notice. This acquisition is for a Firm Fixed Price contract for Grounds Maintenance requirement for all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, facilities and supervision necessary to provide grounds maintenance service. Grounds Maintenance applies to all designated functions including, but not limited to performing routine recurring service work, i.e., lawn mowing, edging, debris removal, weed control, rodent control, fertilization, pruning, irrigation, maintenance of irrigation systems, aeration, cultivating and hand weeding planters, cleaning of storm drainable systems, cutting embankments, sweeping/blowing driveways and parking areas at Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity (MCTSSA) Camp Pendleton, CA. The solicitation will be issued under simplified acquisition procedures set forth in FAR Parts 12 and 13. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation. This notice constitutes the only solicitation; a written request for quot! ation will not be issued. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed-Price Contract, plus four 1-year option periods. This procurement is set aside for small business, however, all responsible sources may submit a quotation for consideration. The Government intends to make a single award to the responsible offeror whose offer is the most advantageous to the Government considering price and other factors. The applicable NAICS code is 561730. A solicitation will be issued on or about 2 September 04 and can be accessed at www.mctssa.usmc.mil, under contracting opportunities. NOTE: The solicitation issuance date is an estimate, not an actual, and the actual can be before or after the stated date. If additional information is requested, please contact Susan Humann at 760-725-2478, email susan.human@usmc.mil. A site visit will be conducted at the following time and location. All respondents are encouraged to attend. Date 09 September 2004, Time: 9:00 AM (Please allow ! enough time to get through the front gate of Camp Pendleton). Location: MCTSSA Security Trailer, Point of Contact: Susan Humann. To attend the site visit: You must call or email at the above phone number and email addresses no later than 06 September 2004 with the individual?s name(s) and company name. Purpose of the Visit: Grounds Maintenance Site Visit 5. POC/Logistic. To be eligible for award firms must be properly registered in the Central Contractor Registration(CCR). Award will not be made to contractors who are not CCR registered. Information regarding CCR registration may be obtained by accessing the website at http://www.ccr.gov. Note: The response date cited above does not obligate the Government to award a contract nor does it obligate the Government to pay for! any bid preparation costs. The Government reserves the right to cancel this procurement/solicitation either before or after the offer closing date, with no obligation to the offeror by the Government.
